A luminous study of geometry, reflection, and color shifting light.

This three dimensional stained glass globe explores the interaction between structured form and optical color. Constructed from dichroic beveled glass in three blended tones, the spherical composition transforms illumination into subtle prismatic movement.

  • Form and Geometry

The globe is formed from precisely refined beveled glass panels arranged into star shaped structures that wrap around the spherical form. Each star connects through gently arched glass segments, creating a continuous framework that reinforces the architectural integrity of the sculpture.

These curved connections allow the geometry to flow naturally around the orb while maintaining strength and balance. Triangular, square, and circular relationships emerge throughout the structure, bringing fundamental geometric elements into a unified three dimensional composition.

  • Light and Color

Three complementary dichroic tones interact across the beveled surfaces of the globe. As light moves through the structure, the glass shifts between cool and warm reflections. Where colors overlap through reflection and transmission, subtle new hues appear, allowing the surface to evolve with changing illumination.

The beveled edges intensify light and shadow, producing luminous highlights and layered reflections that travel across the geometry.

  • Experience

Natural light activates both the beveled facets and dichroic surfaces, producing delicate prismatic reflections. In direct sunlight the colors become vivid and dynamic, while softer interior light reveals the dimensional depth and architectural clarity of the structure.

The globe functions as a compact light sculpture where geometry, reflection, and chromatic movement interact in a disciplined and elegant form.
