Woman arranging glass stars, text reads

My inspiration comes from the light and landscapes of Croton on Hudson, New York, where I live and work. Each day I am surrounded by shifting skies, river reflections, and sunlight that transforms the natural world. Stained glass became my way of capturing these fleeting luminous moments and shaping them into something lasting.

I am especially drawn to dichroic glass, which behaves almost like light itself, changing color, tone, and intensity depending on the viewer’s perspective.

My sculptures also carry a personal layer of inspiration, including memory, nostalgia, and the feeling of belonging. Forms such as paper cranes, airplanes, geometric structures, and miniature villages connect childhood memories and immigration stories with my present life in New York.

Working in three dimensions allows me to bridge tradition with modern design, science with art, and personal memory with shared experience. Above all, I am inspired by the power of light to comfort, transform, and connect us.

With gratitude,
Elle

Light and Shadow

As Unique as Light

Each piece from Glass on Hudson is handcrafted using traditional Tiffany stained glass techniques with lead-free solder. Our work explores three dimensional sculptures shaped by architectural geometry and contemporary design. Each piece interacts with light and space to reveal depth, movement, and luminosity.
