Winter in New York has been long ❄️ This Rosette Motif Pyramid has kept me company in the studio. I refined the apex, inspired by Gothic windows and my own take on the Golden Ratio. I look forward to showing this 3D rosette glass in the spring

She is subtle, architectural, and full of light. Sunlight moving across the panels and through the textured dichroic base reveals new reflections and layers.

This custom dichroic beveled rose window, designed last year, will make its in-person debut at upcoming spring shows 🌸 Its geometric “flower circle” pattern draws on centuries of stained glass tradition, from Gothic cathedrals to sacred mandalas, reflecting divine harmony and timeless beauty.

Winter slowed production with freezing soldering conditions, but with spring approaching, these luminous designs are ready to shine. Hanging one under my indoor plant brings subtle color shifts and a calming glow 🌈✨

I met Gary of Dodge Stained Glass Studio, a German-American artist who has been working with stained glass since 1980.

I created this Merkava (tetrahedron) sculpture while preparing my application for the Smithsonian Craft Show 2026 in Washington, DC. @smithsoniancraftshowsswc My application was denied....and for a moment, I wondered if I was simply too ambitious.

So many of the artists who apply have spent lifetimes honing their craft. I’m still growing. Still learning. This was my first truly complex design, and it took me a full week to make just one.

And yet… this piece has become the centerpiece of my booth. I watch people pause… stare, mesmerized… and connect with something they’ve never seen before. Even when the soldering isn’t exactly where I want it yet, it still makes me smile.

I’ve been creating this 3D stained glass crane for over five years 🌸 it started with the traditional Tiffany method, and slowly evolved into something entirely my own.

This summer’s edition uses 2mm Bullseye dichroic with dotted Coatings by Sandberg and thin copper foil. The custom dichroic beveled wings and shimmering dotted body catch the light in a way that feels almost alive. I honestly can’t stop watching it.

At recent shows, customers have really connected with the craftsmanship and the modern feel 💝 even with the higher price that comes with using premium, custom-fabricated dichroic glass.

✨ Cleaning and organizing my studio space.

It’s always a little chaotic this time of year 🤖 I start to feel overwhelmed and anxious right before the holiday production…..and my studio is definitely not as tidy as the picture. But now it finally feels calm.

This space used to be where my kids played music for over a decade before they left for college. When the music stopped, it felt so empty that I left it untouched for a long time.

Now it’s become my working space... where most of my ideas begin: sketching patterns, testing designs, and working through creative R&D. It’s where the drawing, measuring, and copper foiling happen.

Glass cutting, grinding, and soldering are done separately on my workbench for safety.📌

The air’s getting colder, and this weekend will be my final time outdoors before moving into cozy indoor spaces for the holidays.

When I show glass under the open sky, the weather really matters ⛈️especially the rain and wind. I’ve checked the forecast countless times, but Mother Nature has been kind. Last weekend in upstate NY was beautiful ☀️ sunlight, crisp air, and the Hudson Valley’s stunning scenery.

What looks simple… wasn’t simple at all. ⛵️

I met Altarik @homastudios when we were booth neighbors — he’s a ceramic artist who truly understands minimalism and how to play with space. His eye for design inspired me to explore functional art, which led to this paper boat–inspired jewelry dish.

It’s one of the most technically complex 3D designs I’ve ever made — every angle had to be perfect.

Still, I love how it came out — sculptural, elegant, and ready for sunlight. ✨

✨ Small but mighty.

This glass sculpture might be one of my favorites — created from just four beveled triangles of thick clear glass.

Each piece connects with perfect precision using a custom 3D-printed jig designed by @ericm17_ — a total lifesaver for aligning every point. Finished with a sleek black patina, it feels both minimal and modern — like light and shadow finding balance.

For me, the open space isn’t emptiness — it’s nothingness. A quiet, intentional presence that makes the glass feel alive.

When I talk to customers about this piece, I always share the idea : where glass and space meet in perfect harmony.

✨ A new phase for Glass on Hudson ✨

Inspired by a conversation w/ glass artist Robert @apolymathllc I’ve been researching deep into sacred geometry—working with 24 isosceles triangles to create a new 3D star. 🌟

It’s a harmony of Moravian and Merkaba influences, born from both collaboration and curiosity. This design requires more precision, higher craftsmanship, and a deeper understanding of 3D geometry than anything I’ve made before.

I can’t wait to debut this tetrahedron. 💎

✨ After two years of traveling East Coast art shows— reinvesting most sale into premium supplies and stained glass — this week feels like a milestone.

I finally ordered an 18” rainbow on granite-textured Bullseye glass from CBS @artofdichroic with nano-technology dichroic coating. 🌈

It was a major upgrade……I know my collectors will appreciate the magic of textured dichroic glass @artofdichroic made only in California, inside a vacuum chamber, and nowhere else in the world.

The way it shifts and shimmers in the light… I can’t look away. This is the kind of glass that transforms my sculptures into something new. ✨

At almost every in-person show, I get asked the same question: “Do you have a store?”

The short answer: I don’t.

Currently, I don’t plan to open a shop, expand into consignment, or do wholesale. With limited studio time, my focus stays on creating each piece myself—and what you see in my booth is often everything I have on hand.

✨ A New Design Story ✨ I don’t usually take custom orders or teach classes —my focus has always been on creating stained glass pieces that feel most authentic to me.

At Renegade @renegadecraft a customer asked for a triangle-shaped dichroic glass. At first, it didn’t feel like the right fit—but this summer, I decided to give it a try.

The result? A modern, teardrop-inspired isosceles triangle—both 2D and 3D—finished with a delicate chain and accented by a tiny piece of dichroic glass that makes the light shimmer just right.

Summer isn’t usually my in-person show season—especially after struggling last year —but this year I gave it a try in August, and I’m so glad I did! 🌞✨

I’m still trying to recoup from last weekend’s Saratoga Art Celebration @gordonfinearts but it was such a joy. I connected with so many talented artists and picked up beautiful prints @nallyfineart and @jara.artwork along the way. 💛

Lately, I’ve been using Google's AI, Gemini—not just for random car troubles 🤪 (like a stuck engine or a window that wouldn’t close!) but also to scout potential art shows 🎪 for next year.

I tested it out by feeding in some of my favorite events. The suggestions weren’t perfect, but a few stood out—like a summer show at the Winterthur Museum Garden @winterthurmuse in Delaware. Maybe one to try in 2026. 🌿

The photo brings me right back to my spring show @clovermarket in Collingswood, NJ—it was so gusty, most vendors didn’t even dare to put up a canopy top. I spent the entire day holding down my tent while the sound of glass and displays shattering echoed across the lot. 💨😅

Now I’m gearing up for my first time showing at the Stamford Art Festival @harborpointstamford —just a quick 40-minute hop from my studio into CT. It’s hosted by @gordonfinearts, and this time I’m prepared… with 35 lb kettlebells anchoring my booth. ☀️

Since my designs are one-of-a-kind, I don’t rely on competitor pricing. Instead, I focus on what feels fair, sustainable, and reflective of the craftsmanship and care that go into each piece. I never want to underprice or overprice—just land at that honest, transparent place where value and artistry meet.

✨ One year ago, after a tough summer show season, I made a decision—to build a stronger online presence for Glass on Hudson. I launched www.GlassonHudson.com and revamped my Etsy shop.

What started as a tool for juried art and craft show applications quickly became a meaningful way to stay connected with customers beyond in-person markets.🎪

Now, many of them return to shop through my website—which has become an important part of sustaining my work.

This summer, I took on a full refresh: new photos, updated descriptions, and reorganized categories. It was tedious and felt never-ending at times, but now everything feels cohesive.

Introducing my Dichroic Glass Origami Crane Mobile—a 3D stained glass sculpture featuring a trio of cranes that gently move with the light. ✨

This piece has been on my mind for a long time. It took months of trial and error to develop a balanced mobile system made specifically for stained glass. I’m proud of how it came together—subtle movement, thoughtful structure, and the shimmer of dichroic and prism glass catching the sun just right.

Every weekend used to be filled with my middle child’s baseball tournaments—traveling up and down the East Coast. These days, my weekends look very different as I embrace a new chapter in life.

From January through June, I committed to 18 arts & crafts shows 🎪 across NY, NJ, CT, and even MA. I pushed myself outside my comfort zone.

This weekend marks my final stop of the season in Manhattan. With NYC temps soaring above 95°F, the pavement will be sizzling—but I’m ready to wrap things up feeling proud and grateful.

Outdoor markets come with their challenges—rain, gusty winds, and the occasional surprise storm. But I’m always in awe of the resilience and spirit of fellow vendors: strong, adaptable, and creative. It reminds me of a modern-day frontier spirit I admire.

This spring, I’ll be saying goodbye to a few of my beloved 3D glass sculptures—specifically the orbs and spinners made with clear square glass.

Originally designed in 2023, these pieces have been a signature part of the Glass on Hudson collection. For the past two years, they’ve been cherished by many—and even now, they’re still in demand. 🙏 But I’ve decided it’s time to reimagine them: revamping the structure, exploring new colors, and creating elevated designs to debut in fall/winter 2025.

It’s never easy to discontinue a piece that holds so much meaning for both me and my customers—but I’m ready to move forward.

As my spring show season nears its end, I’ve been reflecting on the incredible artists I’ve met and the creative moments that have made this journey so special.

One of the standout memories was meeting the artist @silentforestmobiles at a Manhattan @grandbazaarnyc show—his booth felt like a peaceful forest escape, and I could’ve stayed there all day. I brought home a nostalgic little figure from his collection that I absolutely love. His work inspired me to start creating my own tiny stained glass village, using dichroic glass. It’s been such a joy watching visitors light up with smiles when they spot these tiny treasures @westchestercraftcrawl

I always wonder where my suncatchers end up after a show—how they’re displayed, where they hang, and whether they catch the sunlight just right. It’s meaningful to see each piece find a new home, and to know my customers see them not just as decor, but as little glass sculptures. ✨

This was taken just before the show began last weekend at the Metropolitan Pavilion—my fourth time showing with @renegadecraft NYC. ✨ The lighting this time was perfect for showcasing stained glass, and I was lucky to have a beautiful spot where the spotlight really brought my pieces to life. 🌈

What touched me most were the returning customers—some who had purchased from me before—stopping by to say hello and share how much they still enjoy the prisms and colors dancing through the light. I’m deeply grateful for their kindness, continued support, and genuine appreciation for handmade art and craft. 💛

Looking ahead, I’m inspired to keep creating —refining my craftsmanship, elevating the quality of my glass, and focusing even more on transparency and detail for Glass on Hudson.

I hope to return to this wonderful show @renegadecraft in the future, and I highly recommend it to fellow artists and makers.

✈️ First Stained Glass Airplane

This 3D stained glass airplane holds a special place in my heart. It was the very first piece my middle child and I created together during the pandemic—back in 2020, when I first began learning stained glass. He was in 7th grade, and with schools closed, we spent our days designing, crafting, and transforming a simple paper airplane into a beautiful stained glass piece. I was mesmerized by the magic of 3D geometric stained glass art.

Now, as he @ericm17_ prepares for his next journey—heading off to college this fall—this piece brings back so many cherished memories. Time truly flies, just like this little plane. ✨

Over time, my craftsmanship has evolved, and I’ve continuously pushed my designs to be more unique.….but I’ve realized how vulnerable handmade designs can be to imitation. Seeing my crane pattern copied and sold on Etsy was disheartening, but instead of dwelling on it, I’ve chosen to innovate, refine, and evolve my design—making it even more special and distinct.

At shows, I’ve met fellow stained glass artists who openly ask to take photos and learn from my work, and I appreciate their honesty. We all grow by learning from one another. This year, I had the joy of participating in around 35 shows, traveling from upstate New York to Brooklyn. Each market, fair, and festival brought its own unique charm, but @renegadecraft truly stands out as a favorite—a show I hope to return to again.

Renegade’s creativity, authenticity, and dedication to craftsmanship are so inspiring. It challenges me to push my creative boundaries, experiment with new styles, and expand my collections in fresh, artistic ways. I also really value their transparency during the application process—it’s rare and so appreciated as an artist.

✨ Last year, participating in the Hudson Valley Artisan Markets in Kingston, NY hosted by @circlecreativecollective, was an eye-opening experience for Glass on Hudson. It felt like stepping into an entirely new universe.

It was my first time visiting Kingston, and I signed up for the show purely out of curiosity, with no prior connections or insights about the market or location. What I discovered was truly magical: the organizers were welcoming, thoughtful, and generous, and the vendors were incredibly talented and inspiring.

For the first time, I felt a genuine longing to belong to an artistic community. This show embodied everything I had envisioned for arts and crafts—professional, community-driven, and authentic. Even more, the shoppers truly appreciated the work, which made the experience all the more rewarding.

That moment became the starting point of my journey into in-person sales outlets.

This year, I’m happy to return to the Hudson Valley Artisan Markets in Kingston, NY, on November 29-30. Thank you, @circlecreativecollective @old_dutch_church_kingston for having me —I can’t wait to celebrate the holidays with such an inspiring community once again!

This year, I designed a special stained glass ornament using Bullseye collage glass. The moment I saw the vibrant, artistic patterns on the glass sheet, I knew it would inspire a new creation. The glass itself is so expressive and full of personality that I wanted my design to truly highlight its uniqueness.

Among all the ornaments I’ve made, this piece has become a personal favorite. Visitors to my 10x10 booth are always fascinated by its artistic nature—it immediately grabs their attention. At the same time, its abstract style invites a moment of reflection to fully connect with it. This ornament motivates me to keep refining and expanding this line for future fine art and craft shows.

Last week, at my first Artrider show in Westport, CT, I experienced firsthand how uncertain times can influence shoppers. With the stock market fluctuating during the election, it seemed people were more cautious about making purchases. Still, the connections I made were incredibly meaningful, and sometimes my customers’ creative ideas take me in unexpected new directions! 🎨

Two customers asked if I could make my origami crane with a prism effect, incorporating rainbow hues and dichroic colors. It was an exciting challenge, as I typically let traditional stained glass colors speak for themselves—but their interest sparked something new! After the show @artridercrafts I set to work on a beveled dichroic crane that reflects mesmerizing rainbow patterns. Watching it come to life reminded me of the inspiration that comes from in-person events—my customers’ ideas often shine brighter than I could imagine!

This new triangle shape was a true labor of love, crafted with precise diamond cuts down to the millimeter. I’m so excited to share this custom piece at my holiday shows! 🌈✨ @artscouncilofprinceton @thefarmhouseproject @renegadecraft @circlecreativecollective @fadmarket

This Saturday, I’m excited to step out of my usual show range—typically within 30 minutes to 1.5 hours from Kingston to Brooklyn—and venture into New Jersey for the first time! Instead of sticking close to home, I’m taking on the challenge and following my curiosity to the Sauce for the Goose Outdoor Art Market in Princeton, about two hours away. Curated by the Arts Council of Princeton @artscouncilofprinceton the event will feature nearly 100 unique artists and makers. The weather looks promising, with no rain expected, making it a perfect day to explore this beautiful college town @princeton

This will be my final outdoor show of the year with a tent setup. After Princeton, I’ll be diving right into preparations for the rest of my holiday show lineup:

This year, I participated in several shows across NYC, including Renegade Chelsea, Not a Normal Chelsea, Renegade Brooklyn, the Museum of the City of NY, FAD Dumbo, and the Invisible Dog Art Center. It’s been such a learning experience! I’ve noticed that my larger, more dimensional pieces may not always resonate with the younger NYC crowd, where space is often limited. It’s made me reflect on how my work fits into different markets.

Kris @jkcustomfurniture who was born and raised in Brooklyn, mentioned something that really struck me—she rarely sells there anymore because her products don’t always translate to city living. Small apartments, eating out more than at home, and a younger demographic that may not always gravitate toward handmade work all play a role.

But I’m excited to step out of my comfort zone and give it another go at the Renegade Brooklyn Holiday Show @renegadecraft in December! Based on my NYC experience, I’ve created more affordable dichroic suncatchers and plant stakes. I’m also planning to elevate my booth’s visual merchandising with whimsical wire flowers by @minniemadeny on Hudson Valley driftwood bases, alongside my flower suncatchers. I hope the connection to nature from the Hudson Valley will captivate the city crowd. 🌿

When it comes to creating stained glass using the Tiffany method, there aren’t many young artists in this category, and I think that’s due to the amount of planning and effort involved. Sourcing glass sheets and clusters, cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, applying oxidation, and cleaning—all of these steps require meticulous attention and a designated studio space. Beyond creativity and artistic expression, there’s also the need to manage an inventory of tools and glass sheets in various colors and thicknesses. It’s the most complex planning I’ve ever experienced.

Out of all the steps, my favorite part is the R&D process with @eric.min17 where I develop my 3D glass sculptures. This summer, I spent a lot of time exploring ways to differentiate my work and create a signature style for Glass on Hudson—something that truly captures my artistic vision. One of the most fulfilling aspects is working on the 3D jigs with my middle child in high school @croton_hs We use 3D printing @bambulab_official to create tools for my designs, and collaborating with him has been a true joy.🎁

✨ Sauce for the Goose @ Princeton, NJ (11/09) via @artscouncilofprinceton – Thrilled to be part of this 30th annual outdoor art market, and it’s my first time showcasing in NJ!

✨ Holiday Makers Market @ Callicoon, NY (11/23-24) via @thefarmhouseproject – After missing previous opportunities, I’m excited to finally join this show in the beautiful river town of Callicoon.

✨ Hudson Valley Artisan Markets @ Kingston, NY (11/29-30) via @circlecreativecollective – Returning to this warm and welcoming show for the second time, organized by a wonderful mother-daughter team.

✨ Renegade Craft @ Brooklyn ZeroSpace (12/7-8) via @renegadecraft – My third Renegade show, connecting with top artists and crafters from across the country and beyond.

✨ FAD Holiday Pop-Up @ Brooklyn St. Paul’s in Cobble Hill (12/21-22) via @fadmarket – My third FAD show, excited for this new location in a beautiful church, just in time for Christmas.
