Reading in Prism 🌿

This piece was created with Eldad @silentforestmobiles the first collaboration of 2026.

I met him at a New York City market last year, and I was mesmerized by his whimsical figures. I had to be brave enough to ask if he would trade one of his figures for one of my suncatchers.😳

What started as a quiet idea took time to become real.

Seeing this piece come to life and sharing it from my booth felt satisfying. It marks a new development in my work. Glass on Hudson is not only geometry, light, and color, but also narrative. A story held inside glass.

This piece may be small, but it feels mighty against the backdrop of the Shawangunk Mountain Range at the Woodstock New Paltz Art & Crafts Fair @quailhollowevents May 24 to 26.

My first time exhibiting at the Bruce Museum Outdoor Crafts Festival @brucemuseum, May 16–17 in Greenwich, CT.

I still remember filling out the application by hand during last year’s holiday show, right from my booth. I submitted it with more hope than certainty.

This marks my 100th in-person event for Glass on Hudson. Every show and every conversation has shaped how I see and create.

Out of those 100, my favorite remains Renegade Craft Fair NYC @renegadecraft. That show taught me it’s okay to be myself. The level of creativity continues to push and inspire me, even after six shows.

🌿 I’m returning to Artrider Spring Crafts at Lyndhurst this spring.

In 2024, I was accepted by Artrider @artridercrafts but chose not to participate. At the time, I wasn’t ready…. Looking back, my studio was just one stop away from the show. I felt I had missed an opportunity, but I also understand that the timing wasn’t aligned with where Glass on Hudson was.

Over the past year, I’ve been focused on evolving my 3D stained glass work. I’ve been exploring new forms, color relationships, and how light moves through structure.

This spring feels different. I’m ready for this local presence.

Light changes everything in glass. 🌈

This skyline silhouette pairs dichroic glass with opaque white stained glass, suggesting the Hudson River. Each building is cut from pieces of dichroic glass I’ve collected over time, selected for how they reflect and transmit color.

Each piece is unique. The glass determines how it reflects and becomes itself. No two are the same.

A slightly larger shadow gap between the skyline silhouette and the glass frame allows the composition to breathe.

This winter ❄️ I spent every Saturday revisiting the fundamentals of traditional Tiffany stained glass, exploring how light, opacity, and layering transform glass. I worked alongside Gary, a master with nearly 50 years of experience, learning through steady, hands-on practice.

What stayed with me most is this: craftsmanship is more than technique. It is a way of thinking.

Structure First

Winter in New York has been long ❄️ This Rosette Motif Pyramid has kept me company in the studio. I refined the apex, inspired by Gothic windows and my own take on the Golden Ratio. I look forward to showing this 3D rosette glass in the spring

She is subtle, architectural, and full of light. Sunlight moving across the panels and through the textured dichroic base reveals new reflections and layers.

She reminds me that it’s all about perspectives 💛

This custom dichroic beveled rose window, designed last year, will make its in-person debut at upcoming spring shows 🌸 Its geometric “flower circle” pattern draws on centuries of stained glass tradition, from Gothic cathedrals to sacred mandalas, reflecting divine harmony and timeless beauty.

Winter slowed production with freezing soldering conditions, but with spring approaching, these luminous designs are ready to shine. Hanging one under my indoor plant brings subtle color shifts and a calming glow 🌈✨

I created this Merkava (tetrahedron) sculpture while preparing my application for the Smithsonian Craft Show 2026 in Washington, DC. @smithsoniancraftshowsswc My application was denied....and for a moment, I wondered if I was simply too ambitious.

So many of the artists who apply have spent lifetimes honing their craft. I’m still growing. Still learning. This was my first truly complex design, and it took me a full week to make just one.

And yet… this piece has become the centerpiece of my booth. I watch people pause… stare, mesmerized… and connect with something they’ve never seen before. Even when the soldering isn’t exactly where I want it yet, it still makes me smile.

I’ve been creating this 3D stained glass crane for over five years 🌸 it started with the traditional Tiffany method, and slowly evolved into something entirely my own.

This summer’s edition uses 2mm Bullseye dichroic with dotted Coatings by Sandberg and thin copper foil. The custom dichroic beveled wings and shimmering dotted body catch the light in a way that feels almost alive. I honestly can’t stop watching it.

At recent shows, customers have really connected with the craftsmanship and the modern feel 💝 even with the higher price that comes with using premium, custom-fabricated dichroic glass.

✨ Cleaning and organizing my studio space.

It’s always a little chaotic this time of year 🤖 I start to feel overwhelmed and anxious right before the holiday production…..and my studio is definitely not as tidy as the picture. But now it finally feels calm.

This space used to be where my kids played music for over a decade before they left for college. When the music stopped, it felt so empty that I left it untouched for a long time.

Now it’s become my working space... where most of my ideas begin: sketching patterns, testing designs, and working through creative R&D. It’s where the drawing, measuring, and copper foiling happen.

Glass cutting, grinding, and soldering are done separately on my workbench for safety.📌

What looks simple… wasn’t simple at all. ⛵️

I met Altarik @homastudios when we were booth neighbors — he’s a ceramic artist who truly understands minimalism and how to play with space. His eye for design inspired me to explore functional art, which led to this paper boat–inspired jewelry dish.

It’s one of the most technically complex 3D designs I’ve ever made — every angle had to be perfect.

Still, I love how it came out — sculptural, elegant, and ready for sunlight. ✨

✨ Small but mighty.

This glass sculpture might be one of my favorites created from just four beveled triangles of thick clear glass.

Each piece connects with perfect precision using a custom 3D-printed jig designed by @ericm17_ a total lifesaver for aligning every point. Finished with a sleek black patina, it feels both minimal and modern like light and shadow finding balance.

For me, the open space isn’t emptiness. It’s nothingness.... A quiet, intentional presence that makes the glass feel alive.

When I talk to customers about this piece, I always share the idea : where glass and space meet in perfect harmony.

Inspired by a conversation w/ glass artist Robert @apolymathllc I’ve been researching deep into sacred geometry—working with 24 isosceles triangles to create a new 3D star. 🌟

It’s a harmony of Moravian and Merkaba influences, born from both collaboration and curiosity. This design requires more precision, higher craftsmanship, and a deeper understanding of 3D geometry than anything I’ve made before.

I finally ordered an 18” rainbow on granite-textured Bullseye glass from CBS @artofdichroic with nano-technology dichroic coating. 🌈

It was a major upgrade……I know my collectors will appreciate the magic of textured dichroic glass @artofdichroic made only in California, inside a vacuum chamber, and nowhere else in the world.

The way it shifts and shimmers in the light… I can’t look away. This is the kind of glass that transforms my sculptures into something new. ✨

At almost every in-person show, I get asked the same question: “Do you have a store?”

The short answer: I don’t.

Currently, I don’t plan to open a shop, expand into consignment, or do wholesale. With limited studio time, my focus stays on creating each piece myself—and what you see in my booth is often everything I have on hand.

✨ A New Design Story ✨ I don’t usually take custom orders or teach classes —my focus has always been on creating stained glass pieces that feel most authentic to me.

At Renegade @renegadecraft a customer asked for a triangle-shaped dichroic glass. At first, it didn’t feel like the right fit—but this summer, I decided to give it a try.

The result? A modern, teardrop-inspired isosceles triangle—both 2D and 3D—finished with a delicate chain and accented by a tiny piece of dichroic glass that makes the light shimmer just right.

Summer isn’t usually my in-person show season—especially after struggling last year —but this year I gave it a try in August, and I’m so glad I did! 🌞✨

Lately, I’ve been using Google's AI, Gemini—not just for random car troubles 🤪 (like a stuck engine or a window that wouldn’t close!) but also to scout potential art shows 🎪 for next year.

I tested it out by feeding in some of my favorite events. The suggestions weren’t perfect, but a few stood out—like a summer show at the Winterthur Museum Garden @winterthurmuse in Delaware. Maybe one to try in 2026. 🌿

The photo brings me right back to my spring show @clovermarket in Collingswood, NJ—it was so gusty, most vendors didn’t even dare to put up a canopy top. I spent the entire day holding down my tent while the sound of glass and displays shattering echoed across the lot. 💨😅

Now I’m gearing up for my first time showing at the Stamford Art Festival @harborpointstamford —just a quick 40-minute hop from my studio into CT. It’s hosted by @gordonfinearts, and this time I’m prepared… with 35 lb kettlebells anchoring my booth. ☀️

Since my designs are one-of-a-kind, I don’t rely on competitor pricing. Instead, I focus on what feels fair, sustainable, and reflective of the craftsmanship and care that go into each piece. I never want to underprice or overprice—just land at that honest, transparent place where value and artistry meet.

🌸And honestly? Pricing is still hard. It’s not just numbers—it’s psychology, confidence, and trusting that your work is worth it.

✨ One year ago, after a tough summer show season, I made a decision—to build a stronger online presence for Glass on Hudson. I launched www.GlassonHudson.com and revamped my Etsy shop.

What started as a tool for juried art and craft show applications quickly became a meaningful way to stay connected with customers beyond in-person markets.🎪

Now, many of them return to shop through my website—which has become an important part of sustaining my work.

This summer, I took on a full refresh: new photos, updated descriptions, and reorganized categories. It was tedious and felt never-ending at times, but now everything feels cohesive.

Feeling ready and excited for what’s next. 💛
